If you were to mention the name of a person blazing the most sensational trail in Nollywood, in Nigeria and the diaspora, at the moment, your judgement would have been defective if Yemisi Banjoko-Ogunyemi was not the first to come to your mind.

Since the recent run of her movie product, AlterDate in Nigeria which took place in over thirty cinemas nationwide, its been clinching one award or the other by her, Alter Date director, cast and crew across nations.

The very recent award, reminiscent of and alike the popular Oscar Award is the latest in Banjoko-Ogunyemi’s series of awards via her movie, the Alter Date–the TINFF Award (Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival Award) for which she clinched ‘Best Female Nollywood Film Maker of the Year’ while her Alter Date also won ‘Best Nollywood Movie of the Year 2019′.

The Award Presentation was on the 7th of September and Award Gala Night was on the 8th of September 2019.
